Anokhina’s work explores the relationship between personal, psychological, and emotional experiences with visual language. In her first project, 25 Weeks of Winter, the artist converts a personal experience into an emotional journey through a photographic diary. In her second work Inner Mongolia she creates an imaginary visual space, based on her childhood fantasies. In her recent work Nudes she turns to portraiture, willing to challenge the gender stereotypes of male nudity visual representation.
