Hard Stuck is an ongoing series of maps charting the unknown territory of real-time rendered narratives. The images explore the on going transition from Joseph Cambpell’s Monomyth to GVN908 concept of Scattermyth (a decentralised network of narratives created, nurtured and owned by its community), and the joys and sorrows of the gamer community, main adopters of this new approach to storytelling. The digital artworks also function as design sketches for an upcoming MMORPG.

GVN908 is an Italian-born, Berlin based video-game director, consultant and streamer. He’s directed music videos for Endgame, WWWings, DJNJ Drone, The 1975, developed digital infrastructures for the UAE pavilion at the 2021 World Expo in Dubai, Tellart, Google and had his films shown at the EYE Film Museum, EMAF, Oberhausen Film Festival.
He is an alumni of Fabrica, the Jan Van Eyck Academie, the Sandberg Instituut and a professor of Media, Communications and Cultural Studies at Goldsmiths University in London. He is also a member of Trust in Berlin, and the founder, in 2021, of Casa Declino, a game design studio exploring the metaverse.
