Kotliar is an artist born in 1999, the eighth kid in a large family from a small industrial city called Nikopol in Ukraine. The artist spent his childhood on the street, as home life was uncomfortable and at a young age he moved to Kyiv for more life potential and opportunities. It was the work of Dmitriy Tolkachev which he viewed on instagram that would turn his life around and spark an interest in the medium. He began with street photography, capturing emotions and moments, feeling the deepest empathy to people he photographed. After publishing Routine, he began to explore the memories of his childhood. The beautiful careless moments, being with nature, walking through the countryside, eating fruit from the trees and bungee-jumping in the water. He shot Summer as an ode to happy kids drinking beer, smoking cigarettes, doing whatever, feeling happy and who knew how to forget the difficulties of life.
